Breaking Marketing Boundaries: When AI Dating Games Meet YouTube Livestreams — Reimagining the Future of Virtual Brand Ambassadors

In traditional digital marketing, interactions between brands and audiences are often one-directional: brands publish videos and deliver messages, while audiences watch, comment, and receive information. But what if we could create a “living” brand ambassador—one that can talk with viewers in real time, remember everyone’s preferences, and even let the entire livestream audience decide her fate together?
Recently, Ubitus combined its latest generative AI technologies with YouTube livestreaming to create a visual adventure game (AVG) called “A Day Dating UbiChan.” This is not just a fun experiment. Powered by Ubitus’ computing advantages, it is opening up an entirely new path for future “interactive marketing” and “virtual IP operations.”

Below are four major technical highlights that marketers absolutely should not miss:
Highlight 1: A Different Experience for Every User — Saying Goodbye to Pre-Recorded Content with Real-Time “Multimodal” Interaction
Traditional virtual idols or interactive videos require huge libraries of artwork and voice recordings. In UbiChan’s system, we integrated UbiGPT (story brain), UbiArt (dynamic image generation), and UbiEcho (voice synthesis).
This means that every conversation from a player—even a random joke typed into the chat—can trigger the AI to generate personalized dialogue, emotion-matching visuals, and soundtrack-like voice acting “in real time” within seconds.
- Marketing Possibilities:
Brands no longer need to pre-record videos for every possible customer question. Instead, you can build a real-time interactive shopping ambassador that generates personalized recommendation visuals and conversations for every user’s scenario, achieving true “Hyper-personalization.”

Using the storytelling capabilities of LLMs to create romantic dating scenarios across different timelines and worlds.
Highlight 2: Breaking the Fourth Wall — Turning the YouTube Chatroom into a Game Controller
The biggest fear in livestream marketing is “low audience engagement.”
In this game, we created a “livestream interaction polling system.” While the streamer is playing the game, audiences in the YouTube chatroom can enter commands to vote directly. Even more disruptive, viewers can use a special [ubichan] command to force their own creative ideas into the game’s options!
All countdown timers, vote counting, and even “first-come-first-served” anti-abuse mechanisms are automatically handled by the backend system.
- Marketing Vision:
Future product launches will no longer be just moderators reading comments aloud. You could allow 20,000 viewers to collectively “raise” a virtual character, vote through bullet comments to decide the next product to unbox, or even unlock special effects and hidden endings through paid messages (Super Chats), creating entirely new monetization models.

Fans can use chat voting to choose or change the direction of the story, allowing the plot to evolve in unexpected ways.
Highlight 3: A Virtual IP That Grows — Giving AI “Long-Term Memory”
If an AI loses its memory after refreshing the webpage, then it’s just a customer service bot.
UbiChan comes with a built-in “memory state engine” that supports both short-term and long-term memory. She remembers what gifts players gave her, how many times they made her angry, and when players return to the game “the next day,” she can even bring up interactions from yesterday on her own.
Behind the scenes, the system automatically packages conversations for the LLM to asynchronously summarize before writing them into cached memory storage.
- Marketing Vision:
Official brand accounts can evolve into memorable “digital best friends.” Consumers who continuously participate in campaigns can unlock different intimacy levels and exclusive conversations with the AI character, greatly increasing user engagement and brand loyalty.

The memory gallery system uses LLM summaries of different events to establish long-term memory.
Highlight 4: Dynamic Language and Personality Switching — Seamless Global Localization
UbiChan’s system supports multiple languages, including Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean.
What makes it powerful is that this is not just interface translation. When switching languages, the core prompts provided to the LLM dynamically change as well.
For example, the Japanese version uses anime-style “Tsundere” speech patterns, while the English version shifts into American-style slang and personality expression.
- Marketing Vision:
When brands expand overseas, virtual ambassadors can instantly switch into the cultural context and personality style most familiar to local audiences, breaking regional limitations and achieving global marketing at minimal cost.

Powered by LLMs, the backend can easily support multiple languages while preserving the unique personality of the virtual character.
Real-World Results: The Explosive Power of AI-Driven Interaction
After a month of YouTube livestream experiments, we observed astonishing results. Compared to ordinary technical showcases or one-way livestreams, the “AI dating simulation game” format showed explosive growth in engagement performance:
- Community engagement doubled:
Comment volume increased by 175%. Audiences became highly motivated to influence key story developments and continuously proposed all kinds of wild creative ideas. - Stronger user retention:
Average watch-through rate increased by 15%, while the average viewing time per user also increased significantly. - Brand exposure effect:
Even though the dating game livestreams were only half the length of regular streams, video impressions still increased by 10%, bringing more traffic exposure to the channel.
This proves that once audiences realize their comments can “instantly” change the direction of the story, they are no longer just spectators—they become co-creators of the story itself. This kind of “sense of participation” is something traditional video marketing struggles to achieve.
From “Telling Stories” to “Co-Creating Stories”
AI technology is transforming one-way brand storytelling into a two-way immersive experience where brands and consumers create stories together.
The real challenge lies in how open brands are to these new technologies and how willing they are to allow fan creativity to become part of the marketing process, continuously adding value to brand innovation.
We are making what used to be complicated “multimodal AI generation” increasingly simple and lowering the barrier to participation. We believe the technology behind this AI AVG game is only the beginning—the future boundaries of creativity are waiting to be broken by marketers themselves.
